Evalueserve Appoints Dr Alain M Cahen as Global Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare Business Unit

An industry leader who will define and launch a new generation of products and services to support the digital healthcare market

Dr Alain M Cahen joined Evalueserve on June 1, 2016, as the global business unit head of its life sciences and healthcare division. Alain brings with him 20 years of industry experience in life sciences and laboratory services, gained through positions of increasing responsibility held at Novartis, Abbott, and Unilabs. Most recently, he was a board member and an independent consultant involved in advising life sciences and healthcare executives, start-ups, and companies.

Alain will lead Evalueserve's life sciences and healthcare BU with a mission to expand and grow its business and implement its digital strategy. Alain graduated from the University of Basel Medical School, Switzerland, and started his career as a medical doctor at the Department of General Surgery, Cantonal Hospital, Chur, Switzerland. He then moved on to join the pharmaceutical industry, where he worked for Sandoz/Novartis in the US and at the Headquarters in Basel. With the launch of HUMIRA® he was hired by Abbott International, where he was responsible for the Specialty Care division and strategic marketing. At Unilabs, he became the managing director Switzerland and Italy with its 900 employees and nearly 40 sites and a member of the group executive committee. He is a board certified specialist in Pharmaceutical Medicine (FMH) and holds an Executive MBA degree from the University of Rochester (US).
