iDEKOgov will offer strategic consulting, government relationship services and community relations advisory for business across the US, with a focus on New York City.
NEW YORK, March 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- New York-based events agency iDEKO today announced the launch of strategic consulting group iDEKOgov. iDEKOgov will help businesses and individuals with the complexities of government processes and interactions associated with the vast number of municipal agencies. iDEKOgov will work with businesses across the US, with a strong focus on New York City. iDEKOgov will specialize in strategic consulting, government relations, community relations and crisis management.
Combining four decades of government experience, iDEKOgov's partners have handled government operations and relations for the Super Bowl, the RNC, the Papal Visit, MLB All-Star Games, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and New Year's Eve in Times Square, among other major public events. In addition, they have been called upon for special projects such as the 10th Anniversary and opening of the 9/11 Memorial as well as devising a 5 Borough Commodities Distribution Plan for Super Storm Sandy. They serve a unique need through a deep understanding of government processes and critical municipal issues, based on a calculated approach honed through many years of real-life implementation, experience and public service. In addition, partners will assist clients with the development, coordination and execution of major events in US metros.
iDEKOgov was founded and is run by partners Cristin Burtis, Evan Korn, and Cal Nathan. Burtis has served under three NYC Mayors, including current Mayor Bill De Blasio, and most recently served as the Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management (CECM), where she was responsible for advising and assisting the Mayor and Deputy Mayors. Korn has worked in several senior roles within the NYC Mayor's office and the NYC Department of Transportation as well, eventually serving as the first ever Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of CECM, where he advised the Mayor on policy, planning, and operational matters common to the permitting, coordination, and implementation of street events and other activities in public spaces. Korn and Nathan, a former financier who has owned, operated and sold a number of event related businesses in New York City, are currently partners at iDEKO Productions.
