EverFi's Financial Education Programs Included in CFPB's Resource Guide for Advancing K-12 Financial Education
WASHINGTON, June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EverFi, a leading financial education company, today announced that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has cited EverFi's schools-based financial education programs in a new 2015 resource guide that contains strategies for furthering the development and implementation of financial education in states. The report, Advancing K-12 Financial Education: A Guide for Policymakers, highlights EverFi's work as one of several case study examples of fostering strategic partnerships to amplify the impact of K-12 financial education efforts.
EverFi partners with more than 500 financial institutions, corporations, and nonprofit organizations to provide its learning platforms at no cost to school districts. The digital courses feature the latest interactive and simulation technologies that bring financial topics to life for the digital generation. More than 11,000 schools across the United States use the EverFi platform in their classrooms.
The CFPB developed the resource guide to help connect policymakers with tools, information, and insights to enhance K-12 financial education efforts. To develop this resource, the CFPB gathered information from a roundtable meeting of K-12 financial education policymakers and leaders, solicited insights from experts in the field, and reviewed financial education research and literature.
