Evolution Challenge Addressing the Nation's Health and Wellbeing Epidemic - $250,000 Grand Prize Offered to Individual with Most Dramatic Health Transformation
Participants Have 90 Days to Improve their Health and Submit "Before and After" Photos
MIAMI, Dec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Evolution Challenge, a 90-day body transformation and wellness initiative, announced today its official launch on January 7, 2019. The Evolution Challenge is a multi-faceted effort to transform how people think about their wellness, including exercise, nutrition and mental health. The 90-day challenge is the first of its kind to provide a holistic approach to wellness, with a full range of tools that allow people to track progress. After the January 7 launch, participants have until April 6 to complete their journey.
The rates of adult and childhood obesity continue to climb every year, bringing a host of medical issues. Nearly 100 million U.S. adults have diabetes or pre-diabetes according to a 2017 CDC report, which means more than a third of adults in the country are pre-diabetic. More than a third of U.S. adults have prediabetes, but most are not aware. The Evolution Challenge is a direct response to the country's health epidemic and is meant to create a community of people to work towards aggressive health goals.
Participants that sign up for the Evolution Challenge receive a complete wellness plan, with daily workouts from expert coaches, nutritional tips for healthy recipes and clean eating and mental guidance through mindfulness and other techniques. Registrants can also join an exclusive Evolution Challenge Facebook group to gain encouragement from other participants. Winners of The Evolution Challenge will be judged not only on their "before and after" photos, but also their evolutionary story, consistency in progress logins and overall total-body health improvement.
An app will be available for participants to record their information and set push notifications to remind them to engage in activity or read various mindfulness tips per day. Challengers can sign in daily to receive wellness guidance and log progress towards their goals.
