EVTN Announces New Voraxial® Order For Frac Water / Produced Water Treatment

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:EVTN) announced today that it has deployed a Voraxial^® 2000 System to an oil and gas service company for frac water and produced water treatment.   

Hydraulic fracturing is a process used in a majority of the natural gas wells and many oil wells in the United States, where millions of gallons of water, sand and chemicals are pumped underground to break apart the rock and release the gas and oil from deep shale formation.  Much of this water is returned to the surface to be treated prior to discharge.  The efficient processing and safe disposal of the water used to fracture shale and enable commercially successful oil and gas production is a key issue facing this industry. 

The Voraxial's^® unique characteristics, specifically the ability to provide high volume, efficient separation in a compact device and without any pressure loss is increasing the demand for the product in the oil and gas market, including frac water treatment.  Further, customers value the ease of installation and operation, and its economical benefits, specifically the cost savings experienced from the acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment.  Since the Voraxial^® is compact, complete turnkey systems can be supplied to treat a variety of fluid streams to reduce the customers treatment cost and increase the separation efficiency.  The Voraxial^® can also be easily retrofitted into existing systems to improve its overall performance.

Oil companies and oil service companies require a solution to their wastewater problem as produced water, the water generated during the production of oil and gas, comprises over 98% of the total waste volume generated by the oil and gas industry.  The worldwide ratio of barrels of water generated for every barrel of oil produced is approximately 5 to 1.  As the United States has more mature wells, it is estimated that 10 barrels of water are generated for every barrel of oil.  The Voraxial^® Systems are being used to treat produced water for both offshore and onshore production facilities.
