Ewan Paterson Heads to DDB Chicago as Chief Creative Officer

Award-Winning CHI, BBH and DDB London Alum to Lead Top-Awarded Creative Department

CHICAGO, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the world's most awarded copywriters and creative leaders is joining DDB. DDB Chicago announced today that Ewan Paterson, 47, will join the agency on June 21 as Chief Creative Officer.  Ewan will report to Rick Carpenter, President and CEO of the agency.

Paterson joins DDB from London's CHI & Partners, where he served as Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner. Under his leadership, CHI created a company with a diverse mix of talent from all disciplines working as one team.

Ewan has an impressive creative pedigree including 10 years at DDB London, where he worked with brands such as Volkswagen, American Airlines and Sony.  During Ewan's tenure as Joint Creative Director at DDB London, the agency won the Cannes Print Grand Prix for Volkswagen "Cops," and placed runner-up for most awarded agency at Cannes in 2004.  

While at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Ewan created campaigns for British Airways, Unilever and Vodafone, and most recently as Executive Creative Director at CHI, he is credited with the outstanding viral and interactive work for Britvic's Drench water brand that helped catapult the brand to a major player in the bottled-water market.
