ExpenseCloud Upgrades iPhone and Android apps for enhanced on-the-go Expense Reporting
Expense Reporting Goes Mobile for Effortless Filing and Faster Reimbursement
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Anyone with an expense account knows the pain of a wallet overflowing with receipts and the hassle of having to recall who to bill for what. But a new iPhone and Android version from online expense management solution ExpenseCloud, released today, promises to make such tedious receipt and record keeping a thing of the past. ExpenseCloud, already available for free download on iPad, BlackBerry, Android & iPhone, has been updated with more powerful features and now allows smartphone users to also experience the ease of scanning receipts, recording and submitting expenses as they occur.
"My employees spend the bulk of their time away from the office, so expenses were always being handed in late, with lots of errors we had to go back and fix," said Brian Favro, CEO Labyrinth Learning. "ExpenseCloud Mobile lets my team capture receipts, mileage expenses and transactions on the fly so they can create and submit expense reports on the road, cutting operational costs, speeding up the approval process and allowing the employee to be reimbursed quicker."
With ExpenseCloud Mobile, users can utilize their smartphone or iPad's camera to take a picture of any receipt, turning it into a digital receipt, which is acceptable for submission by the IRS. The robust app also allows you to download all your corporate or personal credit card data, make changes and prepare entries for your expense report. Data is automatically synced with the users' online ExpenseCloud account, and users can create, submit and approve expense reports all right from their mobile device.
New enhancements to ExpenseCloud Mobile include:
- Overhauled User Interface: More user-friendly design makes it much simpler to enter data much quicker
- Addition of Google Maps For Mileage Tracking: Location tracking automatically calculates mileage for you and records your to / from destinations
- More detailed receipt info: See all data related to expenses, from who attended the meal to how many miles were driven, for more accurate reports and improved approval process
- Track Billable Projects From Third Party Accounting Solutions: Import job/project and customer data from FreshBooks, NetSuite, Intacct and QuickBooks, and select these for every expense line item from the mobile phone, including marking the expense billable.
Other expense reporting apps only allow the user to apply one project and client per report, but ExpenseCloud Mobile lets users select specific projects and customers for each expense line item, putting all the data employees need at their fingertips to create their own billable invoice on the go. This eliminates backend manual labor and allows a company to recoup expenditures more quickly.
"Having the ability to track billable projects all the way down to the mobile phone was a top request from our customer base," said Eric Sikola, CEO and founder of ExpenseCloud. "Now we are fulfilling that wish, we've added iPad compatibility, and we've added more, richer features that answer our customers' needs and make it easier than ever to file an expense report."
ExpenseCloud also recently introduced a new online feature that will benefit its mobile app users. ExpenseCloud members now receive a personal email address they can share with personal assistants, airlines, car rental agencies, etc., to have receipts automatically forwarded to their account (even from their smartphone) for more organized, centralized record-keeping. ExpenseCloud Mobile apps allows users to view and select these receipts that are sent in and attach them to any expense.
