Experience Days - Record Breakers and Christmas Makers

Experience Days a leading UK experience gift company, has teamed up with Mattel, leading toy company, to try and break a very Christmassy world record - and make Christmas a little bit better at the same time. Experience Days will attempt to get the world record for most gifts wrapped simultaneously. Whether they break the record or not, they will be donating all wrapped gifts to Barnardo's children's charity.

Mattel has generously supported the challenge by providing hundreds of toys for the volunteers to wrap. For the record breaking attempt, each gift must be wrapped properly - with a ribbon - in no longer than 5 minutes. There are a number of entrants trying to break the record this year, but Experience Days is feeling confident that their attempt is going to be the record breaker!

"While we certainly are hoping to break the record on December 4th, this event is really about giving back and embracing the Christmas spirit," says Experience Days Managing Director Robb Young. "No time of year is more exciting to children than Christmas, yet it's so easy to forget the thousands of kids across the country that won't be waking up to presents. We considered different ways we could lift children's spirits, and because we are an experience gift company, something that involved gifts and presents seemed like the obvious choice. Once we had support from Mattel and Bournemouth University, we realised we had the opportunity to do something special and break a record."

The record attempt is taking place at the Citygate centre and church in Bournemouth at 5pm on the 4th of December, and there's still time for anyone interested to sign up and take part. Everyone who joins in will get a glass of wine on arrival, and there'll be some special prize giveaways throughout the evening. Every gift wrapped will be donated to Barnardo's children's charity before Christmas, and given to children in need in time for Christmas Day.
