The game is a fully remastered HD compilation of the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system title KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX and the PlayStation®Portable system title KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX. The game also features theatrical cut-scenes from the Nintendo DS™ title KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded.

KINGDOM HEARTS 2.5 picks up where KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 ReMIX left off, letting players continue their adventures with Sora, Mickey, Donald Duck, Goofy and other Disney characters. With impeccable high-definition visuals and enhanced gameplay mechanics, players will explore the origins of the hallmark series with Terra, Aqua and Ventus. Players can also venture through various Disney worlds, including Deep Space (Lilo & Stitch), 100 Acre Wood (Winnie the Pooh), Port Royal (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl), Timeless River (Steamboat Willie) and more.
