Based in Buffalo, New York, Greenfield is a highly regarded, influential member of the higher education web community. He has served for the past 14 years as Director, Office of Web Services at the University at Buffalo in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, which serves over 28,000 students.  He began his career at UB in the Instructional Technology Services Department where he played a significant role in integrating technology into the classroom. His research interests include emerging technologies, the social web, the mobile web, the Millennial Generation and their use of technology, and the impact of globalization and technology on schools. 

A sought after keynote speaker, Greenfield frequently presents at a wide range of higher education conferences and meetings with his thought provoking commentary on the impact of emerging technology.  He currently serves on the board of directors for the Higher Education Web Professionals Association, and heads the Association's Leadership Academy. Greenfield has also served as the conference chair for the 2013 Higher Education Web Professionals Conference, and on the Advisory Boards for the eduWeb Conference and Canadian Post Secondary Education Web Conference.
