Extreme Networks Improves Position as a Visionary in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure for the Third Consecutive Year

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR) announced today that for the third consecutive year, it has been positioned furthest to the right by Gartner, Inc. in the "Visionaries" quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure, October 17, 2017.

According to Gartner, "A vendor in the Visionaries quadrant demonstrates an ability to increase features in its offering to provide a unique and differentiated approach to the market. A Visionary will have innovated in one or more of the key areas of access layer technologies within the enterprise (for example, convergence, security, management or operational efficiency).
