EyeLock Names Chris Ream as Chief Security Officer
Iris authentication leader expands and strengthens executive management team with appointment of information warfare and cyber security veteran
NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EyeLock, Inc., a market leader of iris-based identity authentication solutions, today announced that it has appointed Chris Ream to the new role of Chief Security Officer. Ream will be responsible for overseeing physical and information security efforts for EyeLock.
Ream brings more than 20 years of experience in information warfare and cyber security, including an extensive history running security programs within the U.S. federal government and developing computing and network security solutions in the private sector. Prior to joining EyeLock, Ream worked with the U.S. intelligence community including elements of the Department of Defense, where he held a TS/SCI security clearance in support of global special operations.

Ream designed and developed the first artificial intelligence (AI) based firewall, known as NetDefense. The NetDefense firewall technology was sold to an industry leader and continues to form the foundation of their successful product line.
Ream earned a master's degree in corporate governance and compliance from Tulane University School of Law. He also holds two certifications from the National Security Agency – The InfoSec Assessment Methodology and InfoSec Evaluation Methodology – as well as GSEC and CISSP industry certifications.
