EyeLock Scales Executive Management Team Members to Support Company's Rapid Growth

NEW YORK, June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- EyeLock Inc., a market leader of iris-based identity authentication solutions, today announced two key management changes to support the company's rapid growth. As EyeLock matures and readies for its next phase, company co-founder and current Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Dr. Keith Hanna becomes Chief Innovation Officer effective immediately. Jeff Carter, EyeLock's current Chief Strategy Officer, will assume the role of CTO. 

EyeLock's patented iris authentication technology has provided physical access solutions to Fortune 500, 100 and 50 corporations, and other global leaders for the last several years. EyeLock is one of the only iris authentication providers to utilize dual eye authentication to identify the more than 240 points of unique characteristics in each human iris. Dr. Hanna and his co-authors were awarded the 2007 Most Influential Paper of the Decade award at the Machine Vision Applications Conference, Tokyo, Japan.

Jeff Carter's prior CTO experience, demonstrated technology leadership, and track record of building successful businesses will be key as EyeLock deepens it focus on embedded solutions and licensing of its patented iris authentication technology. Jeff Carter's depth of experience connecting technology with core business objectives is well recognized. His prior experience at Bank of America will inform EyeLock's software strategy, as the company deploys solutions to support high transaction rate systems across markets. In addition, Carter's thought leadership in the security sector is well documented, having spoken at multiple TED events on the future of privacy-centric identity.
