Recognized within the retail supply chain as an easy-to-use, web-based application, Lingo offers powerful batch processing capabilities that allow users to create hundreds of ASNs in just seconds. In Spring 2010, eZCom announced Enhanced ASN Maneuverability, allowing users to split orders and stores from ASNs and add them to new or alternate shipments. Conversely, vendors can also consolidate smaller shipments into a single larger shipment. This is performed while keeping all fulfillment details intact, inclusive of GS1-128 carton serial numbers and barcodes. Users never have to repack cartons on ASNs, reprint barcode labels, or replace labels on physical cartons.
Increased ASN Flexibility – Lingo's ASN Maneuverability has been updated with additional functionality. Users can be increasingly specific and select individual cartons within orders and move them to a new or alternate ASN, thus splitting portions of orders without having to repack cartons and reprint barcode labels. This new capability removes boundaries and limitations allowing companies to achieve maximum efficiencies at a particularly granular level, resulting in time and cost reductions of up to three hours per shipment.
Woodinville, WA-based Kische, a manufacturer of fine women's apparel, has been taking advantage of Lingo's ASN Maneuverability for several months to help streamline fulfillment to retail customers such as Nordstrom's, Lord and Taylor, Dillard's, and Bon Ton. Incorporating its advanced document creation concepts, this new function allows users to create multiple pallets and add cartons to pallets in batch either by manual selection or by uploading cartons from an external file or warehouse management system. Users can also incorporate barcode scanning to initiate pallet selection, assign cartons and close pallets. The Lingo Pallets Capability is specifically appealing to vendors who need to ship larger volume orders to big nationwide retail chains.
