EZENIA! Inc. Awarded Air Force Training and Engineering Services Contracts
NASHUA, N.H., April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ezenia! Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EZEN), a leading market provider of real-time collaboration solutions for corporate and government networks and eBusiness, has received multiple awards from the Air Force, totaling approximately $800,000 of bookings, for the training of Air Force personnel on the Ezenia flagship product, InfoWorkSpace, and for the field engineering services in assisting the Air Force in exercise preparation, on-site support, situation analysis, installation expertise, and engineering consultancy. Thus far, Ezenia has received two awards for training services and one multi-year award for engineering support, the latter having the capability to expand up to fifty percent larger than its original commitment of fifteen hundred (1500) hours.
Over the course of several months, Ezenia has provided training to the central Help Desk and Formal Training Unit personnel who support all of the Air Operation Centers (AOC). In addition, extensive training has been completed for Air Force personnel at the Central Command (CENTCOM), Pacific Command (PACOM), Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) and European Command (EUCOM) Falconer AOCs, and the Tailored AOC that supports the Republic of Korea. The final Falconer Weapon System team supporting Northern Command (NORTHCOM) is currently planned to be trained by the end of summer of 2010. The Field Engineers have also been busy upgrading the 601st at Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) in Florida, 603rd at Ramstein Air Base (AB) in Germany, 607th at Osan AB in Korea, 608th at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana, 609th at Shaw AFB in South Carolina, 612th at Davis-Monthan AFB in Arizona, 613th at Hickam AFB in Hawaii, and the 82nd at Langley AFB in Virginia to the latest InfoWorkSpace product line, Version 3.0.6.1, and assisting in security lockdowns.
"These contracts, both training services and field engineering support, not only demonstrate a positive acceptance and long-term interest by the Command and Control personnel and the Warfighters within the Air Force and Joint Command organizations, but also allow the Ezenia field support and engineering team to work closely with our customers and maximize the value and performance that our InfoWorkSpace application suite can bring to bear in solving the mission-critical needs and requirements," noted Keith Baron, Vice President of Customer Assistance & Field Support. "Having spent the latter part of my 26-year career in supporting the Network and Air Operations Centers of the Air Force, I know the importance of not only having real-time situational awareness but the ability to securely share critical time- and content-sensitive information with individuals in the building next to me and those experts around the world, on demand, under the pressure of quick response, and under war conditions," further commented Mr. Baron. "While Ezenia has the best-in-breed solution, it is the excellence of post-sales support, training, and responsiveness that earns us the trust and commitment of the clients. With a backlog of training and multi-year field engineering contracts, worth approximately $500,000, I am confident that, not only will we solidify our relationship with the AOCs, but we will expand our business in the near future with the Air Force."
