Facilis Announces New UK and Europe Main Distributor and Stand at Broadcast Video Expo

Facilis Technology, makers of the Terrablock shared storage and post production system, has today announced major changes to the structure of their business in the UK and Europe, with the appointment of media infrastructure and support specialists Quad Logic Systems ( http://www.quadlogic.co.uk/ ) of Bristol as their new leading distributor in the UK and Europe. At the same time, Facilis Technology has announced it will be exhibiting the latest version of the Terrablock package at BVE in London's Earls Court, from February 15-17 on stand F34.

The Facilis Terrablock (http://www.facilis.com/ ) system is a well established product currently in use in over 1600 locations both small and large worldwide, including the studios of Fox TV in London. Fox International UK distributes programming from the popular Fox US network to its viewers in the UK including National Geographic Channel, FX, Nat Geo Wild and BabyTV, both on cable television and online through .FOX ("dot Fox"). Every year, the network localises thousands of hours of televised content for the UK market and with this growing collection of video content, existing storage was becoming inadequate. Fox were particularly attracted by the cross platform flexibility of the system, as well as its ability to bring about tangible cost savings through more efficient collaborative working practices. The system is also popular with small specialist production houses due to its low costs, flexibility and ease of use.
