FairPoint Celebrates New Year by Giving Back

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- FairPoint Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRP), a leading provider of advanced communications across 17 states, is once again celebrating the new year with a donation to a community nonprofit that receives the most votes on FairPoint's Facebook page at www.facebook/MyFairPoint.

Any 501(c)3 organization located in communities across the 17 states that FairPoint serves is eligible to receive votes. The voting begins December 12 and ends on January 13, 2014. The winner of the $2014 will be announced the week of January 14, 2014. If a nonprofit would like see their name on the list for voting, send an email to [email protected]  with subject line "Give Back" and tell us which organization you think should be added to the list. Open nomination period ends Dec. 19, 2013.

Easter Seals New Hampshire received the most votes during last year's campaign, and received $2013 courtesy of FairPoint.
