From fall festivals and free concerts to community markets and wellness experiences, Las Olas Oceanside Park is Fort Lauderdale's Oceanfront Playground
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- As the ocean breeze turns crisp and the season shifts, Las Olas Oceanside Park continues to connect community, culture, and coastal life through its year-round programming. This fall, The LOOP celebrates the season with its signature events — the Pumpkins & Palm Trees Fall Festival, the Let's Beat Breast Cancer Drum Rally, Friday Night Sound Waves concerts, and The MKT's weekly markets featuring fitness, live music, and family fun.
LET'S BEAT BREAST CANCER DRUM RALLY
Saturday, October 18 • 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Presented by The Physicians Committee
The LOOP will turn pink in solidarity during the Let's Beat Breast Cancer Drum Rally, hosted by registered dietitian and Food for Life instructor Katya Galbis and sponsored by the Physicians Committee. As part of a nationwide Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, the event unites the community through live drumming, survivor stories, and educational resources that focus on prevention through healthy lifestyle choices.
Drumlines from Dillard High School, Palm Beach Lakes High School, and Piper High School will bring rhythm and inspiration to the beach as participants unite to raise awareness and celebrate survivorship.
The rally is produced in collaboration with The Sound Check Foundation, a nonprofit supporting students and educators in underserved communities, through creative programming.
Adding to the spirit of unity, vendors and guests are encouraged to "Pink Out the Park" by wearing pink and decorating booths in support of survivors and their families. The event will also feature a book signing with three-time breast cancer survivor and author Jocelyn Binder for her inspiring memoir, "Sexy After Breast Cancer."
