Family Credit Management to Host Numerous Free Money Management Workshops During Money Smart Week
CHICAGO, April 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --Family Credit Management will host various free financial related workshops throughout the State of Illinois to help consumers learn to manage money wisely. These events are part of more than 1,000 free classes, seminars and activities promoting financial education that will be offered April 21st-28th.
Coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and its Money Smart partners, Money Smart Week is designed to educate consumers about money management and create awareness of financial education programs on a wide range of topics such as budgeting, saving and using credit wisely.
Classes, seminars and activities will be carried out by representatives of hundreds of local and statewide community groups, financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, businesses, schools, libraries, government agencies and media outlets. Almost all of the activities are free and are being held in towns, counties and regions throughout the state, including Bloomington/Normal, Champaign County, Greater Chicago, Metro East, Peoria/Tri County Area, Rockford, Springfield/Capitol Area, and Vermillion County.
