FantasyUp Launches New "Rake Free" Daily Fantasy Sports Site

DENVER, Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With the kickoff of football season, FantasyUp.com has launched a new fantasy sports site that lets sports fans choose a different fantasy sports team every day or week.

While fantasy sports and rotisserie leagues have been around for decades now, the fast growing "daily fantasy" or "DFS" industry is quickly becoming an attractive alternative with fans.  Industry leaders have reported an annual growth in daily fantasy participants of close to 300% for each of the past several years.

FantasyUp is looking to accelerate this growth even more.  Unlike other daily fantasy sites, the company is the first to launch without a commission or "rake" on money played. "Starting off as a free service is a great way to eliminate a barrier for fans that are new to daily fantasy or looking for additional places to play," says Dan Ziernicki, the founder and CEO. "We want to attract those new fantasy sports fans that will help this industry grow.  Daily fantasy is just scratching the surface of its potential."

FantasyUp also has a strategy for attracting more experienced daily fantasy players.  The company spent over a year developing their software while consulting with expert daily fantasy players throughout the process.  "From how players enter games and choose their lineups each day to how we handle customer support, we sweated a lot of details in building this software," says Danny Faccini, VP of Product.
