Farm Fresh Announces Plans For Annual School Fundraising Program

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Sept. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy® is pleased to continue its annual 1.2.3.4 for the Community program for the 2016-17 school year, providing an easy way for customers to help support their local schools. Last year, each school received specially coded key tags to pass out to their support network. By scanning their schools' key tags while shopping at Farm Fresh stores, customers automatically earn credit for free educational equipment for their local school. Those same key tags will continue to earn points for the schools this school year - effective from September 6, 2016 to May 31, 2017.

If customers do not have a key tag from last year, they can request one from their local school or they can simply ask their Farm Fresh cashier to scan their favorite school's bar code before completing the check out. Again this year, Coca-Cola and Hershey's are providing additional support for the program, allowing schools an opportunity to earn more resources and educational equipment.

Over the past 15 years, Farm Fresh has donated more than $4.5 million dollars of school equipment and supplies to local schools.

Informational meetings have been scheduled throughout the day on Thursday, September 8 to welcome and inform partners about the program and discuss ideas on how schools can grow their program.
