Fashion House David Peck USA Presents Houston Made, a Celebration of the City's Most Coveted Designers

HOUSTON, May 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Shop and mingle at Houston Made with Jonathan Blake, David Peck, and Amir Taghi for an exclusive showcase and personal styling of their latest collections adorned with luxury accessories by The Vintage Contessa.  Hosted at one of the few full-scale fashion houses in the United States, attendees will have the opportunity to shop three diversely unique collections and tour the facility where all three designers' lines are produced.  Ready-to-wear pieces as well as fully custom, made-to-measure dresses and gowns are available from all three designers.

JONATHAN BLAKE
Founder and designer Jonathan Tinkle launched Jonathan Blake in 2012 with a 27 look womenswear collection for Spring 2013. He recently impressed over 400 guests at a private runway presentation with his Fall/Winter 2013 collection.  

A native of Houston, Texas and the product of successful, entrepreneurial parents, Jonathan began sketching designs for women's dresses at the age of 14.  Made of luxury fabrics and exotic skins sourced from around the globe, Jonathan Blake's designs are timeless and elegant, "I believe that all women are beautiful, and I want to help them look and feel their best by delivering show stopping pieces with classic lines."

Houston Made highlights the Fall 2013 Collection, Amore e Potenza. Composed of chic separates, elegant cocktail dresses, and extravagant eveningwear, the collection showcases designs for strong and powerful, self-made women who are active in the homes, businesses, and communities they support.

AMIR TAGHI
At only 17 years of age, Taghi has launched his independent fashion label, AMIR TAGHI Atelier, while still a full-time student at Episcopal High School. Houston has taken note of the designer's fresh talent with the debut of his Spring and Fall 2013 collections composed of soft, feminine pieces highlighted with corded and Chantilly lace from renowned lace maker Sophie Hallett.

Inspired by dark to light, Fall 2013 presents 18 looks that take the AMIR TAGHI Atelier woman from ladylike day to elegant evening. With hints of romanticism in the sleek silhouettes, the Fall 2013 color palette consists of charcoal, ivory, and a touch of midnight blue.

DAVID PECK
Started in 2010 with just a few pieces, David's distinct, custom prints and vibrant hues have become the signature of the CrOp by David Peck ready to wear collection, as has his distinct take on made-to-measure eveningwear, and custom bridal.  Today, CrOp by David Peck has grown to a globally recognized ready to wear brand featured on the cover of Women's Wear Daily and in publications such as Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, InStyle, and People Style Watch as well as popular television shows Hart of Dixie and E! News. Celebrities who have worn David Peck include Kate Bosworth, Jaime King, Giuliana Rancic, Mayim Bialik, Maggie Grace, Ashlan Gorse, Rose McGowan, and Taylor Swift.

David's dedication to local manufacturing, meaningful job creation, and minimal environmental impact, resulted in the launch of David Peck USA, a full-scale domestic fashion house in Houston. His involvement with the Greater Houston Partnership (GHP) has led him to chair the organization's Design Task Force, a group committed to strengthening and fostering a diverse and entrepreneurial design community in Houston.
