The event – the Joint Engineer Training Conference and Expo (JETC) – is an opportunity for FAUN TRACKWAY USA to demonstrate its portfolio of rapidly deployable ground surfacing solutions and build its relationship.
The company has already engaged with two branches of the US military this year.
The first event, for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Engineering School and Requirement Development centre at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, featured a demonstration of its Heavy Ground Mobility System (HGMS) and Adjustable Ground Mobility System (AGMS).
This was closely followed by a meeting with the troops and requirement development team at the US Army Engineers Bridge Training Center, Fort Leonard Wood, who were also shown HGMS.
The HGMS comprises of 50m ground-surfacing aluminium matting and electronic spool system. It can be deployed by two men in six minutes to withstand weights of up to 70 tonnes.
Supplied to over 35 armed forces worldwide to aid military and disaster-relief missions, HGMS can be used in a wide variety of terrains such as sand, snow and marshland.
Similar to the HGMS but with added flexibility, the AGMS can be mounted on a broad range of front-end loaders and used with both Military Load Classification (MLC) 30 and MLC 70 Trackway.
First established in North Wales in 1962, the US division of the company was founded in July 2011 with the launch of a new office in Washington DC.
Mike Holdcraft, vice president of business development for North America at FAUN TRACKWAY USA, said: "Since our expansion into North America we've embarked on a successful programme of engagement with US forces to raise awareness of our offering of quality ground surfacing solutions.
"By exhibiting at JETC we will be able to build on our demonstrations of earlier this year and make in-roads with a key strategic market."
FAUN TRACKWAY USA will be at stand 1406 and 1408 at JETC 2013.
