Favor Expands Leadership Team With Three Executive Appointments
Texas-based on-demand delivery company adds key executives in finance, sales and legal to support its rapid growth throughout Texas
AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Favor today announced the expansion of its senior leadership team with three executive appointments: Angela Lee as vice president of finance, Jay Doughty as vice president of sales and Daniel Guzman as managing counsel.
Recently named the fastest growing company in Austin on Inc. magazine's 2018 Inc. 5000 list, Lee, Doughty and Guzman join Favor's executive team at a significant time in the company's growth. Over the past ten months, Favor has doubled its total number of employees and expanded its delivery coverage to serve over 100 cities across Texas.

Angela Lee promoted to vice president of finance
Since joining Favor in 2015 as senior director of financial planning and analysis, Lee has built out the company's finance team, reporting platforms and forecasting models, while also driving the strategic financial planning that resulted in Favor becoming the first on-demand delivery company to achieve profitability at scale in July 2017. Lee will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping Favor's strategic growth as vice president of finance. Prior to Favor, Lee was most recently the director of financial planning and analysis at uShip.
Jay Doughty named vice president of sales
Doughty joins Favor with over 20 years of experience leading high-performance sales teams and a proven track record of accelerating business growth. He is responsible for scaling Favor's sales and account management teams alongside the company's rapid Texas expansion, as well as developing strategic partnerships to further drive sales. Doughty was most recently the vice president of sales at Granify.
Daniel Guzman named managing counsel
Guzman brings over a decade of legal experience across multiple practice areas, including extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and technology transactions. Guzman is responsible for all aspects of Favor's legal work, with initial focus on building out the legal functions needed to support the rapid growth of the company's platform, market operations and workforce, while acting as strategic counsel to leadership. Most recently, Guzman served as H-E-B's managing counsel.
This announcement comes on the heels of Favor and H-E-B's plans to add several hundred jobs with the development of a world-class tech facility and innovation lab in East Austin. The two companies joined forces in February 2018 to support and accelerate each other's growth throughout Texas. Set for completion in Spring 2019, the 81,000-square-foot office will serve as a collaborative workspace for H-E-B Digital's Austin-based team and Favor's corporate headquarters.
