FDA Solutions Group Offers Spanish and Portuguese Language Website that Helps Companies Comply with FDA Registration Requirements
MIAMI, Dec. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Food industry companies that conduct business primarily in Spanish or Portuguese can now access information about the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), register their facilities, and select a U.S. Agent, all at one online location and in their native languages.
FDA Solutions Group, a regulatory compliance company specializing in assisting food industry companies with meeting the requirements of the FSMA, has upgraded its website to better help the thousands of food companies in Latin America scrambling to meet the government's December 31, 2012 registration deadline.
"As the end of 2012 approaches, more and more companies from Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries are contacting us regarding registering with the FDA and selecting a U.S. Agent," explains Executive Director Edgar Asebey. "FDA Solutions Group has expanded our registration system to better help these companies meet the registration deadline by bypassing the need for costly translations or expensive legal services."
Under the FSMA Section 102, all domestic and foreign facilities that manufacture, pack or store food, food ingredients, pet foods or dietary supplements are required to renew their registration with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) before the end of 2012. FSMA Section102 changes the registration requirement for food facilities originally established in 2002 under the Bioterrorism Act. In addition to requiring all food facilities to re-register in 2012, FSMA requires re-registration every two years thereafter.
FDA Solutions Group's principals head up the FDA practice of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, PA, an international trade law firm. However, because FDA Solutions Group is an independent company and is not a law firm, it doesn't charge law firm prices. Rather, the company's fees are very competitive, in keeping with its mission of providing cost-effective registration and agency services to companies affected by the new FSMA registration rules.
Along with registration services, FDA Solutions Group also acts as U.S. Agent for its clients, allowing them to both register and designate an agent through its website.
"By providing a multi-lingual service for overseas businesses to get information, register their facilities and appoint an agent all at once, FDA Solutions Group offers the best solution for overseas businesses seeking a cost-effective way to keep business flowing," Asebey says.
