Feed Magazine, NewsTab, Launches a News Reader on Android and Web
NewsTab Launches So International, Bilingual and Local News Readers Can Follow Their Favorite News Topics and Publications In Over 130 Regions and Languages Worldwide. NewsTab Supports Any RSS Feed and Integrates with Google News and Twitter
TEL AVIV, Israel, October 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
NewsTab, a platform that enables users to follow their favorite news topics, publications, and blogs, through an intuitive user experience, is announcing the launch of its NewsTab Android app and NewsTab Web service today. News and magazines readers can easily find and follow their favorite local news sources and organize them into sections of their preference. The service supports any RSS feed and integrates with Google News and Twitter, to make it easy to follow News topics and Twitter hashtags.
How is NewsTab unique? Modern news apps are typically based on news aggregation and recommendations, but are not allowing users to follow their personal favorite news outlets or blogs (closed services with limited RSS support), while traditional RSS readers, which offer the flexibility to follow any news source, are just not user friendly and offer outdated and geeky UI.
NewsTab's cross-platform experience (Android and web with iOs coming soon) bridges this gap and provides a superior RSS reader functionality, where users can browse their favorite news sources and organize them according to their preferences, on a modern, intuitive user interface. NewsTab users can also follow any Twitter user or hashtag, as well as Google News topics and Google Alerts, to get the best articles through Google's algorithm.
One of the strongest features in NewsTab is its huge local publications catalog. NewsTab is continuously indexing millions of feeds in over 130 regions and languages worldwide, making it the ultimate platform for expats or international readers that can easily find and follow almost any local publication.
NewsTab's iOS launch, planned for this fall, will complete its cross-platform offering and a new set of intelligent algorithms will greatly improve its news surfacing capabilities. These are based on proprietary engine, applying machine learning techniques on multiple signals, such as read patterns, popularity, publisher reach and social sharing.
"We've built NewsTab to stop our frustration", said Founder & CEO, Arnon Catalan. "I have tried many news readers and always had to compromise on the availability of local news sources or on a friendly user experience. NewsTab provides the flexibility of following any news source with a great user experience and intelligent news filters."
