SAN FRANCISCO, July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Feed.fm, a San Francisco startup that drives customer acquisition and retention through music, just announced that it has appointed Bill Dube as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. The content marketing veteran will help drive growth for the rapidly expanding Music as a Service firm.
Feed.fm was born out of the need to keep mobile customers engaged with authentic content. While global content marketing spend is predicted to be over $300 billion by 2019 (PQ Media, 2015), music has traditionally been missing from the content marketing mix due to licensing and technology complexity. Feed.fm solves that problem with custom music curation by its editorial team, fully licensed tracks, and a white label solution that allows brands to share music directly with their customers.
"We are thrilled to add Bill to the team. He has a distinguished track record of driving revenue and building effective teams, and brings a lot of thought leadership to the table. Marketers are more focused on content than ever, and we're the only plug-and-play platform that delivers music. We're seeing the market grow very quickly and Bill's expertise is ideal for where we're headed," CEO Jeff Yasuda said.
Mr. Dube brings with him an expertise in content marketing, interactive media, online lead generation, analytics and emerging technology. "Positioning music with content marketing has always been a challenge for brand marketers," Dube said. "I'm very excited to be part of a company that is at the forefront of integrating music into strategic marketing programs, and I look forward to broadening revenue opportunities and continuing to grow the business." Prior to joining Feed.fm, Bill spent 5 years overseeing the Western US as the Vice President of Sales for PR Newswire.
Feed.fm is headquartered in San Francisco.
Feed.fm launched early 2015 and has team members in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. The company powers both mobile web and in-app music solutions for top brands including American Eagle Outfitters, Shazam, and The Golden State Warriors.
