"Innovation Motorcade" of 25 Electric Car Models Set for D.C. April 19th
NEW YORK, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fenton, the public-interest communications firm, has expanded its historic clean energy work with major new cleantech clients. They include work with the country's largest solar electric manufacturer, a fast-growing solar home energy services company, and a waste-to-fuel company that Fast Company has named one of the "World's 50 Most Innovative Companies."
On April 19th during Earth Week, Fenton will promote a motorcade of 25 vehicles showcasing the latest in electric, hybrid and hydrogen cars that will parade through the nation's capitol. Fenton was instrumental in developing the motorcade concept in partnership with the Electric Drive Transportation Association (www.electricdrive.org). Fenton also helped arrange the participation of the Department of Energy and the White House. U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu will kick-off the event.

- The firm will be working directly with top executives of solar energy manufacturers SunPower (us.sunpowercorp.com) and Solaria (www.solaria.com), in a project conceived with the nonprofit group Vote Solar (www.votesolar.org). The project will present to policymakers and journalists the rapid cost reductions in the price of solar electricity, which have fallen 40% over the last two years and will fall much further over the next few years, making solar electricity an increasingly competitive, viable economic alternative.
- For San Francisco-based SunRun (www.sunrunhome.com), the nation's leading home solar company, Fenton is developing an integrated advertising, marketing, PR and social media strategy.
