FidoTV Launches "All Dogs. All Day." Family Entertainment on DISH

CASTLE ROCK, Colo., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FidoTV, the first television programming channel dedicated solely to dog lovers, has launched on DISH with an "All Dogs. All Day." family entertainment mantra and mission.

Led by television industry veteran CEO and founder, Tad Walden, FidoTV joins DISH on Channel 245 and is available to the pay-TV provider's nearly 14 million customers nationwide. FidoTV intends to announce additional launch dates with other cable, satellite and telecommunications providers in the near future.

FidoTV's television channel, mobile application and website will connect dog lovers with entertainment and support services for their dogs. All programming is 100% canine related, family-friendly and includes shows from around the world as well as FidoTV original programming, movies and special live events involving dog shows and agility competitions. The target viewing audience for FidoTV is the entire family, but skews toward women ages 25-54 with family household incomes more than $50,000.

As FidoTV's strategic partner, the American Kennel Club will provide additional programming, including live dog shows, informational clips and events from around the country while also offering their expertise and input on future original programming. As a part of this partnership, FidoTV will air the 2015 American Kennel Club/Eukanuba National Championship evening events on December 12th and 13^th. This event will be live broadcast and streamed from the Orange County Convention Center and will feature some of the world's top show dogs competing for over $150,000 in prize money and the title of National Champion.

FidoTV is already in production on a slate of original, scripted shows that will debut in the first quarter of 2016, including a series on the more than 400 different dog breeds from around the world, as well as pending reality celebrity-driven shows and dog-themed entrepreneur competitions.
