Fiducia Marketing Hosts Event to Fundraise for Donate Life

TROY, Mich., April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiducia Marketing, a sales and marketing company, has announced that they hosted an event to raise money for Donate Life,  a not-for-profit alliance of national organizations and state teams across the United States committed to increasing organ, eye and tissue donations.

On Saturday, April 12, Fiducia Marketing team members, friends, and family gathered at Whittier Park in Royal Oak, Michigan, to have a field day.  It was a large and exciting event with more than 30 people in attendance.

Donate Life works to help people understand donation and help increase support for organ donation in society by correcting misconceptions and inaccuracies about donation.  The event is more than just a fundraiser for Fiducia Marketing, as the field day also helped to raise awareness of organ donation and help correct some of those misconceptions.

"This is a very personal charity to my family and me because of my youngest brother being a liver recipient," said Cara Pizzurro, President of Fiducia Marketing.  "Had someone not given this life saving gift, he would not be with us today. Additionally, one of my good friends received a heart. Both of them shared their amazing stories with everyone."

This fundraiser featured all the best field events, including a three-legged race, water balloon toss, an egg run, and a water relay. There was also a fun and competitive team tug-of-war event.

"This was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of organ donation and have fun at the same time," Pizzurro said.
