NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- FileCloud, a leading provider of secure content collaboration and data governance solutions, today announced the release of FileCloud 23.252, delivering advanced identity management capabilities and data control features designed for enterprise IT administrators.
This release introduces SCIM 2.0 (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) support, enabling seamless automated synchronization of users and groups between identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace. By eliminating manual user provisioning workflows, SCIM 2.0 reduces administrative overhead for organizations managing large user populations across multiple service providers.
The SCIM 2.0 integration represents a significant advancement in FileCloud's enterprise identity management capabilities, allowing IT administrators to centrally manage user lifecycles from their existing identity providers. Changes made in the Identity Provider (IdP) system automatically propagate to FileCloud, ensuring consistent access control and reducing security risks associated with manual user management processes.
FileCloud's latest release also introduces multi-domain Active Directory (AD) authentication, allowing integration of multi-AD trust domain environments – without requiring separate configurations for each domain. This capability simplifies identity management for enterprises operating complex AD infrastructures.
Additional enhancements in the release include anonymized user codes for watermarks and DRM protection for private file sharing between internal users. These features, in tandem with sophisticated identity management, provide enterprises with key capabilities to meet stringent data governance and compliance requirements.
"With the introduction of SCIM 2.0, multi-domain integration, and enhanced DRM and watermarking capabilities, FileCloud continues to advance ways for customers to secure their content and integrate into their existing environments," said Jason Dover, Chief Technology & Product Officer at FileCloud. "These updated capabilities simplify administration of complex enterprise environments and extend our commitment to safeguarding sensitive data through fine-tuned security controls and policy enforcement."
FileCloud's product roadmap emphasizes enterprise stability and cybersecurity, with this release focusing on unifying user provisioning, automating lifecycle management, and supporting complex environments — all while maintaining data compliance and control customers expect. More information about FileCloud's expanded enterprise IdP and data controls can be found in the 23.252 release blog post.
