Filled With Tears, Emotions, Ten Couples Get Engaged in Las Vegas at 10:10 a.m. on Oct. 10, 2010 at The Forum Shops at Caesars

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- On a sunny morning, crowds swelled around the Trevi Fountain at The Forum Shops at Caesars as 10 men simultaneously dropped to one knee to propose to the loves of their life at 10:10 a.m. on the auspicious date of Oct. 10, 2010.  With Flamingo headline entertainer Donny Osmond as host, sharing anecdotes about his incredible 30-year marriage to wife Debbie, the iconic Caesars Palace marquee counted down to the momentous event. The couples were then showered with rose petals as the crowd witnessed this incredible moment.

The 10 couples hailed from around the country including Fort Wayne, Ind., Austin, Texas, San Diego, Calif., Columbia, Mo., Biscayne Park, Fla. and Las Vegas.  To enter, hundreds of couples submitted an essay.  Couples were chosen based on their stories of how they met and why they felt they should be selected.  Among the winning couples is a story of a rekindled romance after 40 years apart, of high school sweethearts facing financial hardship, of a veteran who found his true love after returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Winning entrant Andrew Bowman of Fort Wayne, Ind., is looking forward to the ultimate birthday gift on Oct. 10 when he asks his true love to be his bride.

The Forum Shops at Caesars and Funjet Vacations partnered to make these engagement dreams come true for the 10 lucky couples. As if getting engaged in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity wasn't enough, the couples also received:
