LOS ANGELES, March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Approximately 24,000 marathon runners and hundreds of thousands of spectators will take to the streets on Sunday, March 17^th for the ASICS LA Marathon -- and many of those streets will be closed for a portion of the day to create a safe environment for the iconic race that runs from Dodger Stadium to Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica.

Race officials remind those who plan to attend the start (approx. 7:25 a.m.) that the Golden State Gate via the 5 Freeway will be the only entrance to Dodger Stadium.
