
First Baptist Church Of Glenarden To Hold Voter Education Forum
Candidates Running for Maryland Governor, Prince George's County Districts 23B and 24, Along with County Council District 6 Will Address Local Residents
UPPER MARLBORO, Md., June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With campuses in Landover (District 24) and Upper Marlboro (District 23B), First Baptist Church of Glenarden is hosting a voter education forum featuring candidates running for Maryland governor and Prince George's County, Md., on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 7 p.m. The forum will take place at the church's Worship Center located at 600 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro. All Maryland residents are encouraged to attend.
"Our goal is to educate our members and community about the upcoming primary election on June 24," says Rev. John K. Jenkins Sr., the senior pastor of First Baptist. "Knowledge is power, and this is an excellent opportunity for candidates to make themselves accessible to voters."

From 6-7 p.m., the community may meet candidates prior to the start of the forum.
