First Colebrook Bank will soon be Granite Bank!

COLEBROOK, N.H., Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 16, First Colebrook Bank is changing its name to Granite Bank. "Only our name will change. Who we are won't change at all. We'll still be the same local, New Hampshire-owned community bank you have trusted for 125 years. You'll see the same friendly faces and experience the same excellent products and services," stated Loyd W. Dollins, President and CEO.

The First Colebrook Bank was established in Colebrook, New Hampshire in 1889. We are still making loans to small businesses, meeting the financial needs of families and helping New Hampshire prosper. Our North Country bank has expanded in recent years to markets including, Amherst, Concord, and Portsmouth and continues to serve the banking needs of individuals and small businesses across the state. "The name Granite Bank better reflects our statewide presence," explained Dollins.

The adoption of the Granite Bank name is simply a name change and is not the result of any form of change in ownership or management. The original Granite Bank was sold many years ago and the Granite Bank name became inactive. First Colebrook Bank was able to acquire the rights to the name.

The name change will have minimal impact on customers and no affect on staffing. Online banking will continue to function just as it does today. "Mobile Banking will be added for customer convenience, and we look forward to unveiling our enhanced website in mid-March," said Dollins. Bank signage will be replaced along with brochures and marketing materials on or around March 16. It is not necessary for customers to take any action as their existing checks and debit cards will continue to work as they always have. Customers can simply substitute "Granitebank.com" for "Firstcolebrookbank.com" in an employee's email address. Though, email sent to a First Colebrook Bank address will be forwarded initially.
