First-Ever GolfBoard-Only Tournament With Big Wave Surfer and GolfBoard Co-Founder, Laird Hamilton

BEND, Ore., May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tetherow Resort in Bend, Oregon will host the World's first GolfBoard-only tournament May 29 – 30, 2015. Big wave surfer and GolfBoard co-founder, Laird Hamilton, will be on hand to surf the earth as he competes in the tournament. The tournament is open to the public and the winner takes home their own GolfBoard!

Festivities kick off Friday, May 29 with a Speedgolf demo and competition (winner takes home $1,000), followed by a lively meet and greet arrival party at 5:30 pm. The GolfBoard Open Tournament will take place on Saturday morning, May 30, topped off with afternoon libations, lunch and awards ceremony.
Cost to participate is all-inclusive, $195 per person (guests may attend with additional fee). Players must have an active, verifiable USGA Handicap to compete. To register, call (877) 298-2582.
