First Insulated Rolling Door Design Independently Tested to Meet ASHRAE® 90.1 Air Infiltration Requirements

MOUNTAIN TOP, Pa., Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cornell Iron Works' Thermiser Max^® and The Cookson Company's Temp-Master^® insulated rolling doors have been successfully tested to comply with the prescriptive air infiltration requirements of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE^®) 90.1-2013, as well as the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC^®) 2012 and the California Energy Code. By incorporating a unique combination of sealing, insulated curtains and thermally broken guides, the design effectively meets air infiltration requirements of less than .3 cfm/ft². Air infiltration is reduced by 94%, compared to a standard rolling door.
