First Liberty Power Corp. Lithium Property Exploration Update

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- First Liberty Power Corp. (OTCBB:FLPC) (the "Company") www.firstlibertypower.com is pleased to provide an update on the next phase of the Company's exploration objectives for its lithium brine project in Lida Valley, Nevada.

The first phase of the Lida Valley lithium prospect ("Property") exploration program was a two part gravity survey, successfully completed in the summer of 2010. The second phase consisted of a controlled source audio magnetotellurics/magentotellurics (CSAMT/MT) survey. Collectively, the three reports show several clear targets for further exploratory investigations. Drilling targets in both the southern end of the Property and in the northern area of the playa have been located. The results of the exploration work are available on the Company's website at http://www.firstlibertypower.com/properties/nevada.

GeoXplor Corp has been engaged to prepare the preliminary budget and timeline for a 3 - 5 hole drill program on the Property, which has now been presented to the Company.  The drill program will target areas of significant Lithium brine potential identified by the Company's exploration program (i.e., areas marked by gravity lows and low resistivity) through certain initial holes followed by the remaining holes depending on first results. By penetrating the formations comprising the basin fill on the Property, the drill results will allow First Liberty Power to identify the concentration of Lithium and other constituents in the groundwater in these target zones. GeoXplor Corp., who will perform the drilling, estimates each hole will require one week's time.
