Fisher & Phillips Expands to Open Columbus Office; Second Location in Ohio

ATLANTA & COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fisher & Phillips LLP announced today that it has opened an office in Columbus, Ohio, with Steven Loewengart, a leading Ohio employment attorney, as managing partner. He is joined by Associate Kevin Hess. This will be the labor and employment law firm's 28^th office in the United States and its second in Ohio.

Loewengart, an employment law veteran with more than 25 years of experience, most recently was a partner at Squire Sanders, where he led its workers' compensation practice. Loewengart represents employers in a wide variety of labor and employment legal matters and serves a broad range of clients. He is a member of the Litigation, Labor and Employment Law, and Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Sections of the American Bar Association; Ohio State Bar Association's Litigation and Workers' Compensation Committees; Columbus Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law, Workers' Compensation Law and Professionalism Committees; and the Central Ohio Self Insurers Association. Loewengart is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Hess focuses his practice on workplace safety and health matters. He advises employers on handling workplace injuries and exposures, employee leaves, terminations, safety compliance and employee discipline. He also represents employers in litigation and counsels them on compliance with employment-related laws. Hess has extensive experience advocating on behalf of businesses before the Ohio Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
