NEW YORK, June 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Live Nation, WME/IMG, The Madison Square Garden Company, Roc Nation and Tao Group, five premier companies in entertainment, events, music, sports and nightlife, today announced investments in and strategic partnerships with InSite Applications, an industry leader in real-time location-sharing technology. These companies have been privately testing InSite Applications' location-sharing product, which delivers an improved live-event experience and continues to engage customers well after events are over.
InSite Applications, which is also backed by Silicon Valley angel investor Ron Conway, SV Angel and other private investors, has been preparing for a global launch of its product, where it will be featured at thousands of premiere entertainment events operated by its strategic partners, including music festivals, concert tours, college and professional sporting events, fashion events and nightclub outings.
"Our mission is to connect people in real time to the people and things that are most important to them. We have assembled a talented team with deep experience in product, design and engineering along with innovative leaders from entertainment, sports and events. Together with our strategic partners, we are focusing our efforts to deliver the best location-sharing experience to a wide range of audiences," said Diesel Peltz, Co-Founder and CEO of InSite Applications.
"Whether it be our talent with their inner circle or the end consumer at our events, there's a tremendous amount of value derived from knowing where your friends are and what they're doing," said Mark Shapiro, President, WME/IMG. "InSite Applications has quietly built the best location-sharing product out there, and we believe they have the opportunity to be the next breakthrough technology company."
"InSite Applications is thrilled to be partnered with global leaders in the entertainment and sports industries who share our vision of bringing people together and greatly enhancing their experiences at a variety of events. The possibilities are truly endless and we look forward to further expanding the reach of our product and applying this technology to a variety of different events in markets around the world," said Mark French, InSite Applications Co-Founder.
"We are excited by InSite's potential and its relevance to fans at a range of live events," said Mark Campana, co-President of North American Concerts, Live Nation Entertainment.
"We have been testing InSite Applications at our venues and most recently at one of our newly acquired Music Festivals. As we expected, the response from our fans has been overwhelmingly positive. They have utilized the app to meet up before events, discovered friends they didn't know were in the venue and we also love to hear that they continue using it every day," said James L. Dolan, Executive Chairman of The Madison Square Garden Company.
"Diesel, Mark, and the InSite Applications team have built an innovative product," stated Juan Perez, President, Roc Nation. "Roc Nation aims to lead the convergence between entertainment and technology and InSite will enhance those efforts by creating meaningful fan and user experiences. We're excited to be a partner of theirs for years to come."
"We invested early in InSite Applications because we believed in their strategy and approach around the location-sharing opportunity. To see these world class global entertainment companies also invest and roll this product out to all their consumers, reinforces our belief that this is the right product and team to revolutionize the location sharing space," said Topher Conway, Co-Managing Partner, SV Angel.
"Our DJ's, Hosts, Promoters and a large group of our guests have been using the beta product at our nightlife venues across the globe. It is amazing to see how our network has really gravitated towards it. We have a very connected and influential audience who are always at the forefront of new trends. From what I am seeing, InSite Application has the potential to be the next breakthrough in social media," said Noah Tepperberg, Co-Founder, TAO Group.
HOW IT WORKS
InSite Applications' location-sharing technology lets users see where their friends are and what they are doing to seamlessly coordinate real-life meet-ups. From music festivals to clubs to concerts, users can share live locations or drop pins to share where they are headed and know in real time if their friends are on the way to meet them or if they are in the same neighborhood.
Entertainment companies are increasingly challenged by the growing fragmentation of how consumers learn about events and the limited opportunities to engage with fans before, during and after events happen. Partnerships with leading media and entertainment companies will enable InSite to provide them with real-time data for customers, tracking what they are doing before and after an event. By providing these invaluable insights into consumer behavior, the platform will allow businesses to deliver relevant messaging and services at the key transactional moments and deliver premium content to their audience to enhance the overall experience at an event.
