Flag for Hope Arrives in Knoxville: Making an Impression on Humanity
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Flag for Hope, will be visiting Knoxville, TN on June 26th. This innovative project that combines both art and social community is led by globally acclaimed artist, Marcos Antonio, in its endeavor to create a shared sense of humanity across the globe.
We are inviting everyone to come out to our many events throughout the city to participate in this unique opportunity to have your historical record preserved on canvas and video, by adding your handprint to our collaborative 'panels of impression.'
This pop-up arts event will take place throughout Knoxville, and the surrounding communities from June 26—June 27. Come together with your friends, family, and even strangers to celebrate the bonds that only the human experience can create and #MakeYourImpression on the world through participation in this one-of-a-kind global expression of peace, unity, and harmony. Upon completion, the panels and digital records will be displayed in a museum for all the world to share. Just imagine, sharing your child's mind and impressions on the world with your children and grandchildren 20 years from now through a visceral piece of art that fully captures the human experience in our world today.
We will be setting up at Krutch Park in the downtown area from 10 AM—2 PM on the 26th and also stopping in the adjacent Market Square that same day. Other sites we'd like to see include the World's Fair Park and Outdoor Wilderness. While several historic sites will be visited, the movement is based on building community and there will be many spontaneous appearances along the way. Flag for Hope Facebook and Twitter feeds will be updated to reflect additional locations, and all are encouraged to follow for clues and updates as they travel the nation.
