MIAMI, July 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Flag for Hope initiative is pleased to announce Miami, FL, as the next location on their historic national tour. Flag for Hope invites participants from all walks of life to embrace and solidify their place in the historical record by contributing their handprints to collaborative 'panels of impression,' and be preserved as an historic account of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to come together with friends and family to share in this unique community-building experience. By taking part in this project participants will create an indelible physical and digital record of a unified global community that will be displayed for future generations to access their personal and shared histories.
The Flag has made stops in Rhode Island, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, and Massachusetts, as well as other travels throughout New England. The team is currently stationed in South Beach Miami, enjoying the classic Art Deco architecture and trying their best to keep cool. The weather is hot but it will not slow them down as they press on to the downtown area. Potential stops include South Beach, Lincoln Road, Fisher Island, and Bay Front Park.
While many stops are planned in advance, the movement is based on building community at every opportunity and there will be many spontaneous appearances along the way. Flag for Hope Facebook and Twitter feeds will be updated to reflect additional locations, and all are encouraged to follow for updates as they travel the nation.
