FlatRate Moving™ Thanks Google for Rapid Response on Spam Review Issue
Google has successfully saved FlatRate Moving's Places listing from a spam attack.
NEW YORK, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week, FlatRate Moving announced that its Google Places listing had been attacked by spammers who'd posted hundreds of obviously fraudulent 1-star reviews, which posed a potential reputation crisis for the moving company. Within a day of FlatRate Moving's announcement, and only a few days before Google's removal of other review site syndications, the issue had been resolved.
Last Friday, FlatRate Moving was pleased to see that the spam reviews had been removed and that the star ratings for all FlatRate Moving listings country-wide had returned to normal. Google has clearly proven by their switch to becoming a fully independent peer review website that they care about the quality of the services they provide.
"Google has been extremely diligent in helping FlatRate Moving solve the issue. Their new Google Places algorithm shows that they clearly understand the importance of a solid peer-review platform," said Jon Katz, V.P. of Marketing for FlatRate Moving. "We'd like to publicly thank Google for its attention to our issue; this has truly been a corrective experience for us."
