CHERRYVILLE, N.C., Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- FleetNet America, Inc. is pleased to announce a cost effective solution for transportation companies dealing with the requirements associated with the full implementation of Compliance, Safety & Accountability ("CSA"), the transportation industry's new initiative for rating carriers and drivers. Beginning in November 2010, FleetNet is now offering a new product called Simultaneous Events which will allow customers to call FleetNet to dispatch, follow-up and pay third party mechanical vendors to handle multiple on-site vehicle maintenance events. This new service offering will further support FleetNet customers currently utilizing FleetNet's emergency roadside services and those who have the need for immediate local assistance at their facility or at an off-site location.
Through Simultaneous Events, FleetNet offers all of the specific customer accountability controls, Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards coding, payment processing and other functionality for which FleetNet is known. As a result of FleetNet's dispatching of a single vendor for multiple repairs performed at the same time, these services are offered at a "per occurrence" fee that is lower than those for typical emergency roadside events. The offering of Simultaneous Events is enhanced by FleetNet's best-in-class handling of emergency roadside occurrences and FleetNet's arranging of immediate on-site mechanical repairs in order to enable equipment to be repaired prior to road dispatch. Simultaneous Events is a great cost savings solution for companies with facilities that do not have dedicated shops or mechanical personnel.
FleetNet also helps its customers meet CSA requirements through its TMcare® program – the optimum solution for positive on-site Department of Transportation ("DOT") inspection adherence. Through TMcare®, FleetNet's customers have continual access to equipment history files that include third party vendor invoices as well as full accountability of preventative maintenance and Federal Highway Administration compliance. TMcare® functions as an extension of a company's fleet maintenance program and allows FleetNet to manage equipment fleets according to the customers' specifications, thus becoming a true transportation partner.
Through the offering of these services, FleetNet is committed to handling equipment maintenance requirements in a highly customized manner thus enabling FleetNet's customers to continue to be fully compliant with CSA regulations.
FleetNet America, Inc. is a third-party vendor management company that coordinates emergency roadside events and all other scheduled and unscheduled maintenance management services.
