DRAPER, Utah, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (FLXT) is pleased to announce it has recently received production Purchase Orders from ZeroUI, a CES 2016 award-winning developer of Ziro – an exciting modular robotics toy kit which leverages wireless and mobile technologies and a Bend Sensor®-driven, wearable glove technology.
ZeroUI is a dynamic company and pushing boundaries in the development of natural interface technologies in HCI (Human-Computer Interface) markets. These technologies have wide ranging applications in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Wearables. ZeroUI has a number of technology product plans for the present and future. Their first commercial offering, Ziro, came out of CES 2016 recognized with an award as one of three "Best Maker-Friendly Technologies."
Ziro is the result of a long-term development effort by a former Purdue University professor. Under the leadership of Mr. Raja Jasti, ZeroUI CEO, the company has assembled a team of bright and energetic developers/designers. According to Paul Sexauer, Flexpoint VP-Sales & Marketing, "ZeroUI is a visionary, inventive company and the Ziro technology maps nicely to a number of our sweetspots – toys, robotics and wearables. Given these dynamics, we have been able to assimilate ourselves into the ZeroUI team very well."
The Ziro robotics kit is made up of individual modules that are controlled by a uniquely designed, wireless smart glove comprised of, among other things, a custom Bend Sensor®. A mobile app connects the robot to the smart glove, and the user can program hand gestures to control the robot without any coding. There are many robotics kit ideas in production and planning phases. Two such robotics kits are the zirover and .ziro bo.
ZeroUI is experiencing tremendous interest from entities around the globe to help bring their exciting technologies to market. Commercialization efforts are well underway and poised for a big 2017. Commenting on the overall collaboration and rollout plan, Mr. Raja Jasti, ZeroUI CEO stated, "Ziro is the next big thing in educational robotics. It is redefining the boundaries of what kids can create and discover for themselves how much fun hands on learning can be. We've created a kit that makes complex subjects such as robotics not only accessible, but also entertaining. The worldwide response has been overwhelming."
Sexauer further commented, "Flexpoint is proud to be serving as a key partner to ZeroUI. We look forward to a long-term, successful and mutually beneficial relationship with them. The future is now and the possibilities are quite exciting!"
