HERNDON, Va., Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact, Inc., the global leader in Data-First™ Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced that the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) has successfully deployed MicroPact's Versa Regulation online licensing solution. The project was completed on time and on budget.
MQA licenses and regulates seven types of facilities and more than 200 license types in more than 40 healthcare professions – from registered nurses and nursing home administrators to acupuncturists and massage therapists.
This release was comprised of the Board of Nursing, Board of Respiratory Care and the Advisory Council of Medical Physicists, representing 53% of MQA's 1,155,538 licensees. This system will allow the licensees to manage their license including renewal, address changes, license status changes, and ordering a duplicate license. In addition, applicants will be able to apply and follow the status of their application online throughout the review process. This new system replaces several legacy systems, combining them into one cohesive application.

MicroPact replaced the state agency's internally developed online system, which could no longer support growing customer demand for online services. The new web portal will provide MQA with several improvements, including the ability to scale and manage growth in total licensee population, improve customer service and enable staff to spend more time on higher value activities.
