Florida Tech Introduces Two Specializations Within its MS in Information Technology Degree Program 100% Online, Powered by Bisk Education

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ranked a Tier 1 Best National University by U.S. News & World Report, regionally accredited Florida Tech has launched a new Master of Science in Information Technology with a Specialization in Enterprise Resource Planning and Master of Science in Information Technology with a Specialization in Database Administration, 100% online.

Florida Tech created these two degree specializations, powered through Bisk's video-based e-learning technology, to address the increased demand for information technology professionals created as healthcare and other industries deal with increasingly complex data challenges. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014-15 Edition, general employment of database administrators (DBAs) is expected to grow 15% by 2022. Employment of DBAs in medical and surgical hospitals is projected to see even greater growth at 43%.  

Students who enroll in the MS Information Technology/Enterprise Resource Planning or MS Information Technology/Database Administration will gain an overall understanding of information technology theories, concepts and applied practices, including project management, organizational behavior and information security management. Students will also engage in courses specifically designed to cover their specialization and help them acquire critical knowledge of these facets of IT.
