Florida's Institute of Medical Cannabis will Continue to Provide a "Higher Education" in 2015
BOCA RATON, Fla., Jan. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Even though Florida's medical marijuana initiative lost some momentum in 2014 after just falling short of the 60% needed to pass, most Floridians now believe that it's no longer a question of if, but when! The fact of the matter is that nearly 3.5 million Florida voters supported Amendment 2 (medical marijuana) in 2014, United for Care has already begun the process of collecting signatures to get medical marijuana on the ballot for 2016, & there's mounting pressure on Florida's Legislature to expand the already existing low-THC/high CBD "Charlotte's Web" law to include higher-THC strains as well. This is why Sheridan Rafer, founder of the Institute of Medical Cannabis, says "2015 should actually be a big year for medical marijuana & we will continue to provide education & training."
Last year the Institute of Medical Cannabis (aka IMC Florida) signed up over 300 members & trained over 100 individuals. The Institute offers four courses, with a primary focus on cultivation. At IMC, students will learn about medical cannabis & the medical cannabis industry while attending lectures and receiving practical training in fully operational grow rooms. The next class, Course 1: Introduction to Medical Cannabis, will be held on Saturday (2/7) & Sunday (2/8) at the Institute of Medical Cannabis in Boca Raton, Florida. In addition to educating, IMC Florida now offers consulting and staffing/job placement.
If you're interested in participating in Florida's medical marijuana industry & would like more information about the Institute of Medical Cannabis, how to get licensed &/or general information about the industry, mmj, & indoor horticulture go to www.IMCflorida.org

* Until changes are initiated in the state and/or federal law, all hands-on training at IMC will be conducted with vegetables and herbs which are organically similar to cannabis.
