HOUSTON, Nov. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Flotek Industries, Inc. (NYSE: FTK) ("Flotek" or the "Company") today honors those members of the Flotek family that have served in our Country.
Flotek team members that have served our nation include: Jeff Alexander, Howard Atwood, Donald Brewer, Jared Crouse, Larry Gaines, Chris Gonzales, Joe Graham, Jim Harkins, Rick Johnson, Quincy Langford, Alert Maryott, Lupe Padilla, Jerry Perales, John Reiland, Hector Reina, Mike Segall, Russell Thompson, Matt Walker, Andrew Washington, Elaine Wigle and Richard Wilson.
"On this Veterans Day, the entire Flotek team salutes those men and women of our organization that sacrificed so much to ensure our great nation endures and prospers," said John Chisholm, Flotek's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "While every day we ask our team to stand in support of the Flotek mission, these American heroes did something much more important: they put their lives on the line to protect and defend what all of us hold so dear, the freedom and prosperity that is the United States of America. For that and your continued patriotism, we salute you."
In honor of these men and women as well as all that have served before and those to serve in the future, Flotek has made a donation to Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman, Morrill Worcester, in 1992. The mission of the organization - Remember, Honor, Teach - is carried out in part by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies a specified Saturday in December at Arlington, as well as veterans' cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond. Wreaths Across America also organizes a week of events including international veteran's tributes, ceremonies at State Houses and a week-long "Veteran's Parade" between Maine and Virginia where the parade stops along the way to spread a message about the importance of remembering our fallen heroes, honoring those who serve, and teaching children about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms. Supported entirely by private donations, the organization also coordinates veteran services and recognition through a variety of programs and provides schools with teaching aides for projects throughout the year.
