Fluid Recovery Services Leads Session on Water Sourcing at Shale Insight 2014 Conference
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fluid Recovery Services (FRS) will have a prominent role in the Shale Insight 2014 conference program. The company will sponsor a session on Water Sourcing: An Update on Water Resources Acquisition within the Basin, to be presented on Thursday, September 25, from 10:30-11:45 am at the David L Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. FRS President Paul Hart will moderate the session, which features panelists Devesh Mittal, Vice President of Aquatech; Tom Tomastik, Geologist, All Consulting; and Dr. Radisav Vidic, Ph.D., Professor at the University of Pittsburgh.
The panel will provide an update on water sourcing within the Basin, with the focus on finding new sources of water and renewing existing sources within each of the water basin commissions and agencies. In addition, the panel will discuss new potential sources of water that could be utilized for shale wells, such as acid mine drainage (AMD) and other wastewater streams that can be treated for use.
